Our client is seeking a passionate HSE Advisor.

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our growing team in Perth, Western Australia. In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in fostering a culture of safety excellence across our metro and regional operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Empower frontline management: Provide technical, behavioural and leadership coaching and mentoring in health, safety, and environment (HSE) matters.
  • Deliver impactful training: Develop and deliver engaging training programs to equip employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to work safely.
  • Champion safety leadership: Attend pre-shift instruction meetings, promote HSE awareness across the organisation, and demonstrate visible field safety leadership.
  • Investigate incidents: Support and facilitate incident investigations, analyse root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay informed: Research legislative updates and advocate for continuous improvement in HSE practices.
  • Maintain compliance: Ensure adherence to client HSE management system and relevant legislation.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment: Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and foster a culture of open communication and collaboration.

Who you are:

  • Hold a Cert 4 in WHS or equivalent qualification.
  • Possess extensive experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership qualities and a proven track record of influencing positive safety culture change.
  • Exhibit exceptional time management, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Communicate effectively through interpersonal, written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  • Possess advanced computer literacy in MS Office Suite and familiarity with WHSMS software and databases.
  • Hold an ICAM (or similar methodology) Lead Investigator course and demonstrate experience in root cause analysis.
  • Apply a working knowledge of relevant legislation to support informed decision-making.
  • Have previous experience developing and delivering training to diverse audiences.
